Wandered into a SUPER COOL Tea-room
This is clearly the coolest space I have ever been in. It used to be a hammam (bath) and now it is a tearoom, where one can smoke nargile(waterpipe here) or play backgammon. totally cool
Best Breakfast in Istanbul
This morning I was out really early taking photographs (5 AM) and nothing was open yet. Around 6AM the carts started to show up.. I was right next to the Burnt Column. So, I had a Turkish Breakfast better than any I have had yet.
Basilica Cistern.
This place was stinky as soon as we stepped into it. In fact, three students turned around and did not go.. But that did not stop the stronger students and myself. Down we go into a dark wet danky place. It was magical. Fish swim in the water.
